This is loooooong. I have warned you
When Sollux got back to his dorm Eridan was already back. “Hey Eridan.” Sollux greeted. “Hi,” Eridan replied, sniffing the air faintly, “You smell like a taco.”
“Would make thenthe thince that is what I ate.” Sollux said, sitting down on his bed, pulling out his blue laptop and starting up Team Fortress 2. “Is that Team Fortress you are playing?” Eridan asked.
“You play TF2?” Sollux questioned.
“Duh, TF2 is the best game evver invvented.”
“Bet I’m better than you.” Sollux retorted.
“Oh, noww it’s on!” Eridan shot back, pulling out his own laptop. “Wwhat map are you on?”
“Dustbowl, I’m on the blue team.” Sollux told Eridan.
After a few hours of Team Fortress and the Red team thoroughly beaten Eridan looked up from his laptop and grumbled “Damn it, you are good.”
“I’m awethome at Team Fortreth. I did warn you.”
At that point is was around midnight so Solux and Eridan went to bed. At three in the morning Sollux woke up to hear Eridan tossing, turning, and talking in his sleep. “Hey Eridan, you okay?” Sollux said as he tried to shake Eridan awake. When Eridan did wake up his fist connected squarely with Sollux’s jaw. “Oh, shit sorry Sollux.” Eridan said as he realized what he’d done. “It’th cool,” replied Sollux, “But what happened? It thounded like you were having a nightmare.” Eridan sighed heavily, “Alright, I wwill tell you the story.”
“Wwhen I wwas six, I wwas going to the park with my mom. She wwas beautiful, she had long, flowwing browwn hair, alwways had a smile on her face, and a twwinkle in her sea blue eyes. Wwhen wwe got to the park, wwe wwere mugged. A man came out of the bushes and pointed a gun at my mom, demanding that she handed ovver wwhatevver vvaluables she had on her. She told the man she didn’t havve anything to givve him, but the man didn’t listen and shot my mom three times in the chest. I wwas powwerless to help her and there wwas no one to come to our aid. I wwas forced to wwatch her slowwy die. It wwas terrible and now evvery night I am forced to relivve it.” After Eridan told his story Sollux noticed the tears forming in his eyes and he sat down beside the sobbing Eridan. “It’s okay Eridan, it ithn’t your fault that she died. It wath the jackath who shot her who ith to blame.” Sollux consoled, “You jutht need to accept that she ith gone now. Look on the bright thide, no one can ever hurt her again.”
“You knoww wwhat,” Eridan sniffed, “You’re right. Thanks Sollux, but, is it alright if wwe sleep in the same bed tonight? I just don’t want to be alone.”
“Thure,” Sollux replied, “It’th okay with me.” They climbed into Sollux’s bed his arms wrapped around Eridan, who was snuggled up in Sollux’s chest. “You tell anyone about this,” Eridan said, “I will kill you.”
“I won’t.” Sollux said. Then they finally fell asleep, and Eridan didn’t toss and turn.
